Central Railway has announced special summer trains between Pune and Howrah to handle the increased passenger traffic during the holiday season. These trains will help ease crowding in regular services and provide more travel options for people going long distances.

Pune-Howrah Summer Special Train
According to railway officials, a few special trains will run on different dates between Pune and Howrah in both directions. The Pune-Howrah special train will depart on April 20 and April 26, while the return journey from Howrah to Pune will operate on April 22 and April 28. These trains will complete the journey in about three days.
Train Features
The trains will have a total of 18 coaches, including sleeper class, general second class, and luggage vans. Some coaches will be unreserved, so passengers can travel even without a reservation. Ticket booking for reserved seats will be available through PRS counters and the IRCTC website.
How will these Trains Help?
Railway authorities have also said that these special trains will help passengers travelling between Maharashtra and West Bengal during the busy summer period. The service will be especially useful for people who cannot secure seats in regular trains due to heavy demand. The trains will pass through several important stations along the route, including Daund, Manmad, Bhusawal, Nagpur, Raipur, Bilaspur, Tatanagar, and finally Howrah. In the return direction, the same route will be followed.
Officials have advised passengers to check the full schedule, including stoppage timings, before starting their journey. They also recommended booking tickets early because seats are expected to fill quickly due to high travel demand.
