Mumbai is preparing for a major improvement in its public transport system with the upcoming Metro Line 11, which is expected to make city travel faster, easier, and more convenient. This new metro corridor will be fully underground and will connect Anik Depot in Wadala with the Gateway of India,
passing through some of the busiest and most important areas.

The line will cover about 17-18 km and include around 13-14 stations, most of which will be located underground. The route will pass through key locations such as Wadala, Sewri, Byculla, Bhendi Bazaar, Crawford Market, CSMT, and Horniman Circle before reaching the Gateway of India area, linking residential, commercial, and heritage zones of Mumbai more efficiently.
