Hyderabad Weather Report- May 12, 2026: Heat Continues, Warm Evenings Expected

Hyderabad is set to witness another hot summer day on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with temperatures remaining above seasonal comfort levels across most parts of the city. According to the latest weather updates, the city is expected to record a maximum temperature of around 37°C to 38°C, while the minimum temperature may hover between 26°C and 27°C.

The weather through the day is likely to remain partly sunny with dry conditions dominating most areas. While there is currently no major rainfall warning for Hyderabad, weather observers indicate that isolated cloud build-up and light thunderstorm activity cannot be ruled out during late evening hours due to ongoing pre-monsoon atmospheric changes over Telangana.

Heat Conditions Continue Across Hyderabad

Several areas in Hyderabad are expected to experience uncomfortable daytime heat, especially during afternoon hours between 12 PM and 4 PM. The "feels like" temperature is likely to remain higher than the actual temperature because of trapped urban heat and moderate humidity levels.

Areas expected to experience stronger heat conditions include:

  • Secunderabad
  • Kukatpally
  • Madhapur
  • Hitech City
  • Gachibowli
  • Begumpet
  • LB Nagar
  • Uppal
  • Mehdipatnam
  • Ameerpet
  • Dilsukhnagar
  • Banjara Hills
  • Jubilee Hills

Residents in densely built commercial stretches may experience warmer road temperatures and increased heat exposure during peak afternoon hours.

Hourly Weather Outlook

The morning began on a relatively warm note with temperatures around 33°C under partly sunny skies. By noon, temperatures are expected to climb rapidly toward 36°C and may touch 37°C during the afternoon.

Weather conditions are expected to remain stable through the evening, although cloud movement may slightly increase after sunset. Temperatures are likely to gradually drop to around 31°C by 9 PM and may settle near 27°C to 28°C during late-night hours.

Wind speeds are expected to remain light at nearly 6 kmph, offering limited relief from the daytime heat.

Rain Chances and Thunderstorm Possibility

Current forecasts indicate very low rainfall probability during daytime hours. However, isolated thundercloud formation remains possible over a few peripheral regions of Hyderabad later at night.

Some outer areas that may witness brief cloud activity or isolated thunder include:

  • Shamshabad
  • Patancheru
  • Medchal
  • Hayathnagar
  • Ibrahimpatnam
  • Chevella

At present, no widespread rain alert has been issued for the city.

Air Quality and Public Advisory

Hyderabad's air quality remains in the satisfactory category, with AQI levels staying moderate despite the continued heatwave-like conditions. However, prolonged outdoor exposure during afternoon hours may lead to dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Residents are advised to:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours
  • Stay hydrated throughout the day
  • Use protective clothing while travelling
  • Limit strenuous outdoor activity between noon and 4 PM

With temperatures expected to stay elevated through the week, Hyderabad is likely to continue witnessing typical peak-summer weather conditions before stronger pre-monsoon changes arrive later in May.
