Hyderabad and several parts of Telangana are expected to witness a mix of intense heat, cloudy skies, and evening thunderstorms on May 28, 2026, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued fresh weather warnings across the state. The latest forecast suggests that while daytime temperatures may continue to remain high, isolated rain showers and thunderstorm activity are likely to bring temporary relief during the evening hours.

According to the latest weather update, Hyderabad recorded temperatures around 34°C during the morning hours, with the "feels like" temperature touching nearly 38°C due to humidity and warm winds. The maximum temperature in the city is expected to rise to around 37°C to 38°C during the afternoon before gradual cooling begins later in the evening.
Sunny Spells During Day, Rain Likely By Evening
Weather conditions in Hyderabad are expected to remain partly sunny through the first half of the day. However, meteorologists have predicted the arrival of showers and thunderstorms by evening, especially in isolated parts of the city and surrounding districts.
Cloud cover is likely to increase gradually after afternoon hours, while rain probability may rise between 3 PM and 6 PM in some areas. Gusty winds and lightning activity may also accompany thunderstorms.
Despite rain chances remaining relatively low during daytime hours, residents have been advised to stay cautious due to sudden weather fluctuations and intense heat conditions.
