The Ministry of Railways has announced a new weekly Humsafar Express train service between Srikakulam Road and Tirupati, which will begin on April 13 and is expected to boost travel between the North Coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and the well-known temple town of Tirupati.

Srikakulam Road to Tirupati Train
Train number 17440 will run from Srikakulam Road to Tirupati every Monday. It will depart at 3:00 PM starting April 13. The train will reach Duvvada at 5:58 PM and leave again at 6:00 PM. It is scheduled to arrive in Tirupati at 8:10 AM on Tuesday. For the return journey, train number 17439 will run from Tirupati to Srikakulam Road every Sunday, starting from April 19, 2026. It will depart from Tirupati at 4:55 PM. The train will reach Duvvada the next day at 9:33 AM and leave at 9:35 AM. Finally, it will arrive at Srikakulam Road at 12:30 PM on Monday. The train will have a total of 22 coaches, including 15 AC three-tier coaches, four sleeper class coaches, one pantry car for food services, and two generator-cum-luggage vans.
Important Stoppages of this Train
This new service will stop at several important stations along the route in both directions, including Chipurupalli, Vizianagaram, Kottavalasa, Pendurthi, Duvvada, Anakapalli, Elamanchili, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, and Renigunta.
