The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has announced a detailed plan to build 18 metro stations along the upcoming Namo Bharat corridor, which will connect Gurugram, Faridabad, and Greater Noida, and is expected to improve travel for daily commuters in the region. Out of the 18 stations, 10 will be

built in Faridabad and 8 in Gurugram. The Gurugram-Faridabad RRTS line will cover around 64 km and aims to provide faster and more convenient transport between these cities.
Features of the Metro Trains
The trains will run at high speeds of 160 to 180 km per hour. To reduce noise in residential areas, special noise barriers will be installed along the tracks. The plan was discussed in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and officials have been asked to include all details in the project report.
Namo Bharat Corridor
The Namo Bharat corridor will follow a similar system used in the Delhi-Meerut RRTS and Meerut Metro projects. This project will allow metro trains and Namo Bharat trains to use the same tracks and infrastructure. Around 52 km of the route will pass through Gurugram, while 12 km will be in Uttar Pradesh. The corridor will also connect with the existing Delhi Metro network, making travel easier for passengers. One major interchange point will be at Millennium City Centre Metro station on the Yellow Line, where commuters can easily switch between services.
Major Metro Stations in Gurugram & Faridabad
In Gurugram, stations are planned at places like Iffco Chowk, Sector 29, Millennium City Centre, Sector 52, Wazirabad, and Sector 57. Another important interchange will come up at Sector 61, linking the corridor to a proposed metro line between Sector 56 and Pachgaon. The last station in Gurugram will be at Gwal Pahari village.
In Faridabad, stations will be located at Sainik Colony, NIT-3, NIT-1, Bata Chowk, and the intersection of sectors 12, 13, 14, and 15, among others.
