Indian Railways has announced a special train between Bengaluru and Madgaon, via the Karwar route, to manage the increased number of passengers travelling during the Good Friday and Easter holidays. Passengers can start booking their tickets from April 1, as announced by KRCL.

Bengaluru to Madgaon Special Train Via Karwar
According to Konkan Railway Corporation Limited and South Western Railway, the special train with 06271 from Yeshwantpur to Madgaon Junction will depart at 11:55 pm on April 2 and reach Madgaon at 5:30 pm the next day. On the return journey, Train No. 06272 from Madgaon Junction to Bengaluru Cantonment will leave at 11:00 am on April 5 and arrive at 5:20 am the following day.
Major Stoppages of this Special Train
This special train will stop at several stations along the route, including Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, Bantwala, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola, Karwar, and Canacona. Moreover, the Madgaon to Bengaluru Cantonment train will also stop at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal for the convenience of passengers.
Special Trains with Coaches
Each train will have a mix of coaches to suit different types of travellers. These include two AC 2-tier and AC 3-tier coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brake vans. This special service is expected to provide relief to travellers and ensure smoother journeys during the busy holiday period.
