Indian Railways is planning to introduce two new Amrit Bharat Express trains that will run on the Ahmedabad-Patna and Pune-Danapur routes. As these routes have heavy passenger demand, this step is taken to improve passenger comfort and strengthen rail connectivity, and the new services are expected to operate

weekly, giving travellers more options for long-distance journeys. Sources from the East Central Railway (ECR) have said that the Railway Board has already approved this proposal. However, the official announcement is still pending and is likely to be made soon by the railway authorities.
Ahmedabad-Patna Amrit Bharat Express
According to sources, the Ahmedabad-Patna Amrit Bharat Express will replace a special train that is currently running on the same route. The train is expected to leave Ahmedabad every Wednesday at 6:30 pm and reach Patna early Friday morning at around 12:30 am. For the return journey, it will depart from Patna on Friday at 10:30 pm and reach Ahmedabad early Sunday morning at about 5:25 am. The train will pass through important stations such as Kota, Agra, Tundla, Govindpur, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) station.
Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express
Similarly, the Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express will replace an existing special train to boost travel, making it smoother and more convenient for passengers on this route.
New Trains with 22 Coaches
Both trains will have 22 coaches and are designed to offer better comfort and improved facilities for passengers. This move is part of Indian Railways' larger plan to upgrade travel experiences, especially for people travelling long distances.
How will these Trains Help?
Railway officials from Danapur stated that these new trains will help reduce overcrowding on existing services and meet the increasing demand for travel between states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bihar, where many people frequently travel for work, education, and other reasons.
