Special Trains from Mumbai: Central Railway has Announced Special Services to & From Mumbai, Nagpur, & Madgaon

The Central Railway has announced special train services between Mumbai, Nagpur, and Madgaon to manage the extra passenger rush during the travel season, which will start running from April 3, 2026, and are aimed at providing more convenient travel options for passengers.

Special Train between Mumbai & Nagpur

One of the key services is a special train between Mumbai and Nagpur. Train number 01021 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:55 am on April 3 and reach Nagpur at 3:45 pm the same day. On the return journey, train number 01022 will depart from Nagpur at 8:00 pm on April 4 and arrive in Mumbai at 11:45 am the next day.

Special Train between Mumbai & Madgaon

Moreover, another set of special trains will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Madgaon. Train number 01129 will leave Mumbai at 12:20 am on April 3 and April 5, reaching Madgaon at 3:15 pm on the same day. The return train, number 01130, will depart from Madgaon at 4:00 pm on the same dates and reach Mumbai at 3:45 am the next day.

However, multiple special trains from Mumbai have been planned, including a total of eight services connecting Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Madgaon to handle the increased number of passengers during the summer season. Bookings for these trains have already started through online and offline reservation systems.
