Rain In Hyderabad Was Pre-Monsoon Activity, Says IMD
The recent heavy rainfall across Hyderabad led to temporary waterlogging and traffic congestion in several stretches of the city. However, officials maintained that the showers were pre-monsoon thunderstorms and not the formal onset of the southwest monsoon.
According to weather officials, the monsoon has already entered southern districts of Telangana but is yet to make its official entry into the State capital.
Meteorological conditions, however, continue to remain favourable for further advancement over the coming days.
Will Hyderabad Receive More Rain Today?
Forecast trends suggest that isolated rain activity may develop during late afternoon and evening hours, especially as cloud cover increases after daytime heating.
Residents in low-lying areas and evening commuters are advised to remain alert for:
- Short-duration heavy showers
- Localised waterlogging
- Traffic slowdowns during peak hours
- Thunderstorm activity and gusty winds
While temperatures remain summer-like across the city, Hyderabad's weather pattern is beginning to show stronger pre-monsoon signals ahead of a possible monsoon arrival window in the coming days.
