Charlapalli-Santragachi Special Train: South Central Railway to Announce Special Services to Boost Travel

To handle the increased number of passengers during the summer travel season, the South Central Railway has decided to continue running special trains between Charlapalli and Santragachi for a longer period. The extension has been announced to provide extra travel convenience for passengers and reduce overcrowding on regular trains.

According to railway officials, the Charlapalli-Santragachi special train, numbered 07221, will continue operating every Saturday from May 23 to June 27. With this extension, the train will make six additional trips during the period. The service is expected to benefit passengers travelling between Telangana and West Bengal during the busy summer vacation season.

Similarly, the Santragachi-Charlapalli special train, numbered 07222, will continue its services every Sunday from May 24 to June 28. This train will run for six extra trips as part of the extension announced by the South Central Railway.

Railway authorities said the decision was taken after noticing heavy passenger demand during the summer months. Many people travel during this season for vacations, family visits, educational purposes, and other personal work, leading to overcrowding on several routes.
