Gujarat (135.81 million), Maharashtra (111.30 million), West Bengal (84.54 million), Telangana (60.75 million), and Uttarakhand (54.64 million) rounded up the list.

Foreign Tourist Visits in India: 2022 Statistics

Gujarat emerged as the most popular state among foreign visitors with 1.78 million tourists, followed by Maharashtra (1.51 million), and West Bengal (1.04 million). Uttar Pradesh (0.65 million), Tamil Nadu (0.41 million), and Rajasthan (0.40 million) also attracted a substantial number of foreign tourists. The list was concluded with Kerala (0.35 million), Punjab (0.33 million), and Madhya Pradesh (0.20 million).
