To manage the heavy rush of passengers during the IPL final on Sunday, Western Railway has announced two special-fare trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad IPL Special Trains
According to a Western Railway official, Train No. 09021 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad AC Superfast Special will operate on Sunday to help cricket fans travel conveniently for the match. The train will leave Mumbai Central at 6:20 am and reach Ahmedabad at 12:40 pm the same day.
For passengers returning after the IPL final, Western Railway has also arranged a special return service. Train No. 09044 Ahmedabad-Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Ahmedabad on June 1 at 3:50 am and reach Bandra Terminus at 12:15 pm on the same day.
How will these Trains Benefit Passengers?
The special trains have been introduced to meet the increased travel demand expected due to the high-profile cricket match. The move is expected to provide a comfortable and convenient travel option for cricket enthusiasts travelling to Ahmedabad for the IPL final and returning to Mumbai after the match. Thousands of fans are likely to travel between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to watch the final, prompting the railway authorities to provide additional transport facilities.
Advisory for Passengers
Western Railway officials said that booking for these special trains opened on Saturday. Passengers can reserve their tickets through all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters as well as through the official online booking platform of IRCTC.
Passengers planning to travel on these trains are advised to book their tickets early, as demand is expected to be high due to the popularity of the IPL final and the large number of fans expected to attend the match.
