Lucknow residents have something exciting to look forward to as the city is set to welcome a new park. In a recent post on X, Mr. D.S. Mishra, Chief Secretary of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, shared images and details about the upcoming 'Happiness Park: Waste to Wonder'. The park is being developed in Buddha Park near the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Convention Center of King George's Medical University (KGMU).
Mr. D.S. Mishra expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "The residents of Lucknow city and the tourists visiting here will soon get the gift of 'Happiness Park: Waste to Wonder'. This park is being built in the Buddha Park located near the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Convention Center of KGMU. Yesterday, I inspected this park."
The park, developed by the Lucknow Development Authority, is set to offer a unique experience to visitors. Renowned artist Sunil Gohravat, known for his expertise in creating wonders from waste materials, is assisting in the creation of various attractions within the park. The park will feature installations made from recycled materials, adding an eco-friendly touch to the recreational space.
Expressing delight over the progress, Mr. Mishra mentioned Sunil Gohravat's contribution to a similar project in Gomtinagar, where iconic landmarks of Uttar Pradesh were recreated using waste materials. The Uttar Pradesh Darshan Park has become one of the most popular attractions in the area.
'Happiness Park: Waste to Wonder' aims to cater to families in Lucknow, providing them with ample entertainment options. The park will feature a range of activities for children, youth, parents, and the elderly, offering a holistic recreational experience. Visitors can enjoy various traditional games, film screenings, and artistic displays, all under one roof.
During the inspection of the park, Mishra was accompanied by Mr. Sunil Gohravat, Vice Chairman, LDA, Shri Indramani Tripathi, and Lucknow District Magistrate Dr. Roshan Jacob and his team. Mr. Mishra extended his best wishes to the citizens and visitors of Lucknow for the development of this exceptional park.
