To make travel between Bihar and Delhi more comfortable, the Bihar Path Parivahan Nigam has announced new luxury bus services. The new service will use luxury Volvo buses equipped with air conditioning, reclining seats, ample legroom, and entertainment systems like TVs and music options. Passengers will also have access to charging points for their devices, making it easy to stay connected throughout the journey. These buses aim to offer the comforts of a premium travel experience at a reasonable price, making travel to Delhi easier and more enjoyable for people across Bihar.
The service will include 16 luxury buses, with each bus running daily from Patna, Buxar, Kishanganj, and Nalanda to Delhi. These routes cover important regions like Seemanchal, Bhojpur-Shahabad, and Magadh, with Patna as the central hub. The buses will operate on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, meaning the government and private agencies will work together to deliver a high-quality service. The Bihar Path Parivahan Nigam will oversee operations to maintain safety and service standards.
The buses will offer two types of seating: regular seats with pushback options in a "two-by-two" format for up to 43 passengers and sleeper berths in a "two-by-one" layout for 30 passengers. This flexibility will cater to passengers who prefer either sitting or lying down during their journey, providing options to suit everyone's needs.
This exciting service will connect major cities in Bihar like Patna, Kishanganj, Buxar, and Nalanda to Delhi, likely ending near Ghaziabad. These buses will feature modern amenities designed to make long-distance travel a pleasant experience.
Safety and convenience are priorities for this new service. Each bus will be fitted with mobile charging points, emergency doors, fire extinguishers, and a Vehicle Location Tracking Device (VLTD) for real-time tracking. The VLTD will help passengers and their families know the bus's location at any time, adding an extra layer of safety and peace of mind.
The Bihar Path Parivahan Nigam expects around two lakh people to use this service annually, with an estimated 15,000 passengers each month. This initiative will boost regional connectivity, making it easier for people from different parts of Bihar to reach Delhi quickly and comfortably. The service also aims to stimulate economic growth by encouraging tourism and business activities between Bihar and Delhi.
