Several areas of Bengaluru will face a planned power cut on November 18 as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) carries out urgent maintenance work. According to an official announcement, the electricity supply will be stopped from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The shutdown is required to complete important repair

work at the 66/11 KV Sobha City substation. BESCOM has explained that this scheduled outage is part of its regular efforts to upgrade and maintain the city's power network. The work at the Sobha City substation is important to prevent future problems and to ensure a safer electricity supply for residents.

Sobha City, Chokkanahalli, Domino's Pizza - Paradise Noor Nagar area, Ex-Servicemen Layout, Police Quarters, R.K. Hegde Nagar, Shabari Nagar, New Shanti Nagar, Kempegowda Layout, Nagenahalli Village, Regency Park, Esther Harmonic Layout, Balaji Layout, Nagenahalli Gym, Slum Bird area, and Bench Royal Wood.
List of Sub-Areas to be Affected
In addition, some nearby locations will also experience disruptions during the maintenance period. These include Arkavathi Layout in Thanisandra, extended parts of R.K. Hegde Nagar, Bellahalli Village, Thirumenahalli Village, Mittaganahalli, and Kogilu Village.
Residents in the affected neighborhoods are advised to be prepared for a six-hour power outage. People living in these areas are encouraged to plan. BESCOM suggests charging all essential electronic devices, arranging water storage if needed, and finishing important household work before the power cut begins. The company stated that once the repairs are completed, the improvements will help provide more reliable service. Although the November 18 power cut may cause inconvenience, it is a temporary step meant to strengthen Bengaluru's power infrastructure. Residents can expect improved stability and better service after the maintenance work is done.
