The Magic of Sharad Purnima at the Taj Mahal

During Sharad Purnima, the moonlight enhances the beauty of the Taj Mahal, making the precious stones embedded in its mosaic shine. The sight of the monument bathed in the soft moonlight leaves visitors speechless, and the applause of the crowd often breaks the silence. The experience of seeing the Taj Mahal at night is truly unforgettable.

The Taj Mahal offers night viewing five days a month, on the full moon night and two days before and after the full moon. This limited opportunity makes it a rare and special experience for visitors.

This year, from October 15 to 19, tourists will have the chance to witness the Taj Mahal during Sharad Purnima, a time when the cool moonlight makes the white marble glow. However, the monument will remain closed for night viewing on Friday, October 18, so visitors can enjoy the night view for four days. Sharad Purnima, which falls on October 17, is the most special night for this viewing.
