Goa exhibits a high dominance of vibrant flavors and spices when it comes to food. 'Soro' in Konkani translates to alcohol or liquor. Sorpotel is a famous food in Goa. The meat is parboiled, and the fat is fried. Most people eat it for breakfast. It is prepared using mutton, pork, or beef liver. It is also accompanied with herbs and spices, garlic and onion.

Goan Nevri
These are flour-made sweet balls. Cardamom, sugar, coconut, and almonds are stuffed inside these balls. This is very popular during the days of Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi in Goa. Karanji, when not fried and steamed, are called Nevri. They are both healthy and tasty.

Samarachi Kodi
This a delightful monsoon dish. It is a prawn curry mostly prepared during Monsoon. Ingredients like onion, coconut, and dry prawns with tomatoes and tamarind topped off with some fresh spices make this tasteful curry. Prawns Xeque Xeque
Prawns Xeque Xeque is by far the most unique dish of goa. The flavors in the dish are bold and strong, but mildness in spice is still maintained. The dish is prepared from fresh prawns, garlic, onions, coconut milk, chilies, tomatoes, and other spices. The addition of coconut milk adds the necessary balance to the dish's flavors.
