The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to extend the last train timings on all lines until around 1:00 a.m to help people travel easily after the Indian Premier League 2026 match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. Officials stated that important routes,
including the Airport Express Line, will run late into the night to handle the passenger rush expected after the match.
Delhi Metro's Extended Timings
According to the new schedule, the last train on the Airport Express Line from New Delhi to Yashobhoomi will leave at 1:00 a.m. On the Red Line, the last train from Shaheed Sthal to Rithala will depart at 12:10 a.m., while from Rithala to Shaheed Sthal it will depart at 12:15 a.m. For the Yellow Line, the last train from Samaypur Badli will leave at 12:20 a.m., and the last train from HUDA City Centre will depart at 11:45 p.m. On the Blue Line, trains from Noida Electronic City and Vaishali towards Dwarka will run until midnight. The Violet Line's final train from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh will leave at 12:25 a.m. The Pink Line from Majlis Park will run until 12:12 a.m. Meanwhile, the Magenta Line's last trains will leave Botanical Garden at 12:45 a.m. and Janakpuri West at 12:30 a.m.
Officials also mentioned that these timings may change depending on when the match ends. However, measures will be taken at major stations to handle extra crowds and ensure safe, smooth travel for everyone.
Delhi Metro's Advisory for Commuters
DMRC has advised passengers to use the DMRC Momentum 2.0 app for better travel planning and to recharge their smart cards in advance to avoid long queues.
